Listen Up - 14/1/25

Been a while as I waited for enough records to be released before I pick a few to gather my thoughts on and do the playlist but let’s kick off 2025 with a bang!

Something that has made me happy as we kick off the year has been artists deciding to not follow convention when it comes to the Friday release date rule: Tyler, The Creator being one last year by bringing out their excellent Chromokopia on a Monday.

Here’s to more following the trend in 2025 - in fact there’s one major record that has which we’ll get to later.

What follows are all the records I’ve been enjoying in the last couple of weeks: (Spotify links are due to them embedding automatically - I use Apple Music for my listening these days but Substack need to add auto embeds for Apple and Bandcamp ASAP.)
